Description
This beautiful crochet Friendship Bracelet with its sweet alpaca shaped charm is made from Gino’s fibre.
The total length of the Bracelet is approximately 21 inches. The crochet part of the Bracelet is about 5 inches long with yarn either side for tying.
Alpacas love to roll in dust and Paula at Peaky Pacas provides a specialist earth for her alpacas. Her alpacas are not covered to keep their coats clean so whilst grazing the fibre also picks up hay, grass, seeds, moss and other vegetable matter. I try my best to remove all the bits, however, the occasional seed or bit of grass may get through.
After the alpaca fibre is sheared, I wash it in an antibacterial detergent and then a wool wash. The clean fibre is then spun into yarn on my Louet S51 spinning wheel. I then hand crochet the spun yarn into a Friendship Bracelet and hand sew the silver coloured alpaca charm into place.
